Human Interactions During International Space Station MissionsDuring the assembly phase of the International Space Station (ISS), we are studying a number of psychosocial and cultural/language variables that affect 5 crews in space and the mission controllers who support them from the Marshall Spaceflight Center, the Johnson Space Center, and the Mission Control Center in Moscow (TsUP). Subjects are completing the Profile of Mood States (POMS), the Group Environment Scale (GES), the Work Environment Scale (WES), and a Critical Incident Log each week during the missions. Data from this investigation currently are being collected. Funding for this investigation is provided by NASA. |
